She is currently employed by a marketing firm in Nashville, TN. Julia Tudor ’17 graduated with a biology major and a public health minor from the University at Buffalo. She is currently pursuing amaster’s degree in biology. VictoriaWiedemer ’17 was accepted to the Master of Science in Athletic Training programat Daemen College. Claire Zwack ’17 received her BS inmechanical engineering from Clarkson University inMay. She is working as an Associate Engineer in the Space and Defense Division of Moog, Inc. Kayla Blas ’18 helped her field hockey teamat Northwestern University get to the NCAA Division I Final Four in Ann Arbor, Michigan and brought home the championship trophy with her teammates! MicaelaRyan ’18 joined #TeamdGC at duGard Communications as an intern. Micaela is a junior and student-athlete at Elon University. She is amember of the women’s basketball teamand is a double major in communication design and strategic communications with aminor in digital art. Maeve Finney ’19 attends D’Youville College in Buffalo and is amember of the softball team. Besidesmajoring in nursing, she is also a “Saint Sitter.” St. Bernard dogs are themascots for D’Youville’s athletic department, andMaeve sees her sitter job as promoting the characteristics of leadership, determination and perseverance that symbolize the students who attend the college. She was recently featured in their collegemagazine, D’Mensions. SavannahRevelas ’19 and her family ran theWorld’s Longest Basketball Game this past August and broke the GuinessWorld Record at 120 hours and 2minutes. The event raised $60,000 for mental health awareness and programs for young people in WNY. Savannah, along with the 23 players, were honored by Mayor Byron Brown for this amazing achievement. 20s Hannah Tudor ’20 completed her first year at University at Buffalo in early childhood education studies. Happy Birthday, Sister Mara! Sister Mara Walton, OSF ‘59 began her relationship with Buffalo Academy of the Sacred Heart as a freshwoman more than 65 years ago. Since then, she has filled the roles of student, teacher, coach, principal, archivist, board member, advancement staff member and so much more. This year, the full SHA community came together to celebrate the 80th birthday of the ultimate SHA girl! Students were decked out in Christmas sweaters as they joined her for cake and singing during lunch periods. More than 100 staff, students, alumnae and friends contributed memories and messages to a book created in Sister Mara’s honor. Everyone enjoyed reminiscing thanks to yearbook photos from across the decades sprinkled throughout the building. Elizabeth Budniak Killinger ’01 and her husband R.J. welcomed son Riggs Robert Jackson on August 4, 2020. He joins big brother Reese, age 4, and big sister Riley, age 2.
