Her pastor at Ss. Columba-Brigid, Father Jud Weiksnar, OFM, recommended she consider Buffalo Academy of the Sacred Heart. Obi looked into the possibility of sending Favour to SHA, but cost was a barrier, particularly because at this late point in the admissions process, scholarships and financial aid had already been allocated for the incoming Class of 2025. However, with prayer and persistence, Obi continued the application process. A scholarship became available, and additionally, several SHA alumnae and friends contributed restricted financial aid gifts to help offset the cost of tuition. Obi shares: “Honestly, I lack words to express my heartfelt gratitude to Sacred Heart Academy for all you people did for my daughter, Chukwubiankem Favour Alaku. I cannot forget the financial support during her time at Sacred Heart Academy. Your kindness has not only lifted a significant financial burden on me but also given my daughter a valuable opportunity to pursue her educational dreams without hindrance. Apart from providing a serene environment for learning and exposing her to top-notch learning tools, Sacred Heart Academy has helped to inculcate in her good character and virtue to become a responsible young woman. SHA gave my daughter, Favour, the foundation and perfect training that she needed to excel in her chosen profession.
