After a successful career in healthcare administration, Judy recognizes that her time at SHA helped lay the groundwork for her development as a professional and a leader. A strong foundation of faith, service to others, and deep friendships have continually influenced her choices. Judy’s experience as a Sacred Heart student inspired her to provide for SHA’s future by naming the Academy as the beneficiary of a life insurance policy. Judy explains, “A few years ago, I engaged an attorney to formalize an estate plan. That process called for an examination of assets. In reviewing my financial plan and determining the disposition of my assets at the time of my death, I remembered an insurance policy that I took out when I was in my mid-twenties. At that time, forty years ago, I had graduated from graduate school, was paying student loans, and lived paycheck-to-paycheck. I felt an insurance policy was a prudent way to pay for expenses in the unlikely event of my death. “Fast forward to the present. I have been extremely fortunate to have had a career that has been fulfilling both personally and financially. Knowing that there are sufficient resources to cover expenses at the time of my death, I wanted the proceeds of the insurance policy to benefit something that was meaningful in my life. Sacred Heart Academy provided me with a solid foundation academically, socially, and spiritually. I cherish the friendships, memories, and strong academic curriculum that Sacred Heart provided. Designating Buffalo Academy of the Sacred Heart as the beneficiary on this insurance policy was an easy way to give back. As I follow the school on social media and receive the Cordecho publications, I can clearly see that Sacred Heart continues to provide young women with the tools to be successful in life! I am proud to be a Sacred Heart graduate!” Judy Grzywa Clontz ’77 Providing for the Future
